How our course matching works

No algorithm decides your future here. A named advisor runs a structured, five-stage process with you — and shows the working at every step.

Stage 1 · Discover

A proper conversation, not a form

Your first session runs about 45 minutes, at our Petaling Jaya office, by video call or on WhatsApp. We map your results, subjects you actually enjoy, career leanings, family budget and any destination preferences. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join.

You leave nothing behind but information — there is no fee, no deposit and no commitment at any stage.

Stages 2–4 · Compare, decide, apply

Shortlist & compare

Within a week you receive a written comparison of 4–8 realistic options: entry requirements, full multi-year costs in ringgit, scholarship prospects, and graduate outcomes — including options that earn us nothing.

Decide with clear eyes

A second session walks the family through the comparison. We answer the awkward questions — hidden costs, realistic entry odds, what happens if results disappoint — before you choose.

Apply & chase

We prepare and file applications and scholarship submissions, then chase institutions for decisions. Most students hold an offer within 14 days of a complete file.

The honest part

How we get paid — and why it stays free for you

Bakerwell is compensated by partner universities and colleges after a student successfully enrols, the same way most international education advisories work. Two commitments keep this honest:

  • Same fees, always. You pay exactly the tuition you would pay applying directly. Institutions may not charge our students more, by contract.
  • The whole map, always. Your written comparison includes strong options outside our partner network whenever they fit your profile better. We would rather lose a placement than your trust.
